A VSLA Story
Since 2012, Seeds has been supporting access to basic financial services within the most rural and remote areas of Eastern Uganda. To this end, our NGO together with our local partners created Village Savings and Loans Associations, colloquially referred to as VSLA Groups
As of today, there has been 217 VSLA groups created, trained and monitored. But behind this tedious acronym also lie the stories of 217 communities. We decided to tell you the story of one of them and answer questions you might be asking yourself as of why those groups exist, how do they really work and what is final goal behind them.
