Keeping our saving programme up-to-date with smart capital solutions

Today and once again with NEW Foundation, our partner organisation in the Sironko District, Seeds launched a pilot project for the monitoring operations of its 133 Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA) using smart capital solutions.

Through very elementary phone applications for a selected number of groups - as a start - Seeds expects to improve its data collection and add another tool to its monitoring actions. Soon every financial action taking place at every group meetings will be digitally recorded and instantaneously shared with our headquarters.

First of all, the application will do all the record calculus and prevent the groups from making mistakes that in the past led to conflicts (for example when opening the box and sharing its content). Secondly, it will also allow Seeds to have instant access to all financial records of each individual group and therefore an opportunity to analyse data at all time.
