Seeds extends its activities to the Iganga district
After months of preparing the launch of a new Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) Programme in Iganga district, about 100km from our current projects, today Seeds has started training volunteers from the United Africa Orphans & Widows Foundation (UAOWF).
Thanks to the knowledge and experience of our consultant, the former founder of our most ancient partner in Uganda, NEW Foundation, we trained 2 of UAOWF volunteers in microfinance and VSLA techniques and procedures but also in adult learning and poverty intervention. A thorough training that will be at the core of the formation, training and monitoring of 20 groups amongst the widows communities with which UAOWF has worked for the past 15 years.
